Tokio Marine University

Tokio Marine University is an online learning environment offering live trainings and over 10,000 on demand courses. This global learning environment allows for self-paced learning opportunities, live and virtual instructor led events, as well as social learning features.

Emerging Leaders Program

The Emerging Leaders Program is an intensive six-month leadership development program, offered to employees across the Tokio Marine Group. The program challenges Group Company participants to implement a business process improvement or strategy project for their Group Company. Three in-person offsites are part of the program, as well as monthly webinars. Participants selected for the program generally range in level from senior individual contributors to the assistant vice president level. On average, there are 60 participants per year, representing about 13 Tokio Marine Group companies worldwide.

Next Generation Leadership Program

The Next Generation Leadership Program (NextGen) is a capstone program of the Emerging Leaders Program. It is designed to empower senior leaders across the Tokio Marine Group to excel in a rapidly evolving global insurance industry landscape. This innovative program equips participants with the skills, mindset, and strategies necessary to navigate cultural complexities while driving ideas for cross-border synergy opportunities. The program incorporates three interactive, in-person offsites, as well as intensive self-development activities through two assessments and two strategic projects.

Management Associate Program (MAP)

Management Associate Program logo

The Tokio Marine Management Associates Program (MAP) is a premier global talent development program that aims to build functional experts in Finance / Internal Audit, Actuarial, Human Capital Services and Information Technology. The program is for recent college graduates looking to begin their professional careers. Participants begin working in Bala Cynwyd, just outside Philadelphia, and have opportunities to travel and work at Tokio Marine companies around the world.

Management Associates on the bridge

Tokio Marine 2100

This global and fully virtual leadership program builds knowledge and skills to prepare employees for the future. It utilizes collaboration and social features in Tokio Marine University, our online learning management system. In 2023, approximately 200 employees from 33 group companies participated in this six-month program.

Participants selected for the program generally range in level as an individual contributor with 2-5 years of experience.
